Lisa Eldridge inspired 'Metallic smoky eye'

If you follow beauty youtube gurus, or are interested in the world of beauty at all I'm sure you are familiar with Lisa Eldridge. I was checking my Youtube subscriptions the other day and I was intrigued to see Lisa's 'metallic smokey eyes-dramatic runway version' video. In the video she used mainly a matte black eyeshadow and Mac copper sparkle pigment, which I have. So when I went out shopping and came back with Sleek's 'molten metal duo' I noticed that it would go great with the look and decided to give it a go.
Lisa's version was a runway edition so obviously I toned mine down a little but the similarities are still there.
I am sooo happy with the end result! I wore it on a night out and I felt like I was wearing a superhero mask!
So here's the look I created, followed by a list of the products I used:

And the two most important ingredients in this look were the Sleek Molten Metal duo (£6.99) and Mac 'copper sparkle' pigment (£15.50-but I'm sure there would be a cheaper Barry M dupe):

I absolutely love how the look turned out and it felt like a really nice change to wear bold metallic colours on a night out. I also think it would be really nice as a new years look.
So thankyou Lisa Eldridge for the inspiration!

If you've been wondering where I've been I can only appologise and say it has been a mixure of lack of inspiration and moving into my new uni house/settling back in. To help me get back into my blogging mojo I would really appreciate any requests.

Girly makeover time: meet this Bright Young Twin

Me and my gorgeous friend Aimee, one half of the vintage blog 'Bright Young Twins' have been having a lot of fun drinking tea and talking makeup in the last couple of days, and Aimee was brave enough to let me do her makeup a couple of times ;)
Aimee has a very specific vintage look already so when picking colours and looks for her I stuck with what I thought would compliment her style. Aimee is the queen of red lips so I kept that in mind and tried out a slightly different plummy/purple shade on her lips.
You'll notice that these pictures are much better quality than my usual photos, this is because we used Aimee's fancy camera..and I am now convinced I NEED one.
Here's my favourites look that I created on Aimee that she then went and wore to her swing dance class (CUTE!):

...Isn't she stunning!
The best part about doing Aimee's makeup is that she has amazing cheekbones to work with!
